Pampang Village (Samarinda)
Pampang Village
or as known as Pampang Cultural Village is a traditional Dayak Village located
at Siring River. The Apokayan and Kenyah as Dayak Sub-tribe live around the
Lamin House which is a traditional architecture for various indigenous cultural
activities. In Pampang Village the local people will do a ritual ceremony to
celebrate a birthday called Pelas Tahun and also the Junan Ritual Ceremony as a
tradition of hundred of years to take sugar from sugarcane stalks which are
squeezed using ironwood.
