Kumala Island
Kumala Island is a delta area that resembles a small island in the middle of the Mahakam River. This small island extends to the west of Tenggarong City, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. From year 2000, the 76 hectare land was designed by the local goverment to become a recreational tourism park whose architecture is a blend of modern technology and also a traditional culture. Inside Kumala Island there are a traditional building called Lamin, that is a the house of Dayak tribe and also a temple called Pasak Pulau Temple which is one of worship of Hindus in Kutai Kartanegara district.
